About Me

I grew up surrounded by the corn fields of Humboldt, Iowa, and, after graduating from college with a degree in statistics in 1999, I moved to Rochester, Minnesota with my husband, Andy. My journey in photography began during our time in Minnesota, when I bought my first "big" camera after becoming pregnant with my now 13 year old son.

In 2016, we left the Midwest for Phoenix, Arizona, and immediately fell in love with the heat and cactus, and the mountains and sunsets. After living our whole lives surrounded by bright greens, we were amazed at how quickly we felt at ease with the beautiful browns of our new home.

My original goal for my photography was simply to document our little family. Over the years, we’ve surrounded ourselves with the photographs I’ve created, and every time I look at them I’m so grateful to be able to re-live our adventures. For past couple of years, however, I've also felt called to photograph others so that they, too, can have a record of their families and themselves as they grow and change. As that call grew stronger, I knew I had to start Erin Green Photography.

What I want most out of our time together is to tell your story. My favorite sessions are the ones where I get to chase your family across the desert with my camera as you dance and yell and scream and laugh. The pictures I’m most proud of are the ones where you look beautiful, but you also look like yourself. Having the opportunity to document your uniqueness is such privilege, and I’m so thankful to you for the chance to get to know you through this process.
